Within our unique set of Creative Arts offerings, Peace of the City cultivates our youths’ “studio habits of mind.” They learn to engage. They learn to persist and commit. They build community with their peers, younger students and adult volunteers. Our artists are in a real-life laboratory, learning from their own mistakes and encouraged to press on over a sustained time period. Without many external rewards, our Peace artists learn to push forward for their own personal satisfaction and achievement and the greater good of our community.
