Advocacy Programs at Peace of the City

Advocacy in Hospitals, Courts, Schools and Homes

We at Peace of the City believe our relationship with the families that are a part of our programs need to go beyond “program time.”
Over the years our staff has spent countless hours being with families during all the big moments in life. Births, deaths, imprisonments, court appearances, meetings with guidance counselors and teachers and mediation between teens and their parents are all a part of this ministry and always will be.

Women’s Advocacy

Peace of the City has invested hundreds and hundreds of hours in fostering relationships with the women (mothers, aunts, grandmothers older sisters) who raise the children of Buffalo.
Over the years, these relationships have come together in different forms of support groups and one on one relationships.  Many wonderful hours have been spent sharing grief, asking hard questions, learning how to put a resume together, try to understand how to budget, learn how to parent more effectively and always taking in more of God’s love.
